Multiples and Installations

A Wall Full of Colour

I love the concept of sharing stories and emotions through colour and art. The Multiples and Installations collection achieves this on a magnificent scale. Over 100 unique paintings, oil and acrylic on gesso panel combine to offer a spectacle of colour that fills the room. When presented all together, the work is 11ft square, but it can also be split and hung in sections.

Each painting in the piece is unique. The paint dictated its own direction, shape, and configuration while the perspective of each piece can change with the way it sits on the wall. This inspires me and is one of the reasons I love to paint; you never really know what is coming next.

Details

It was an exciting yet daunting challenge to be given an entire wall to fill. I set myself the goal to create 100 paintings and I’m thrilled with the result. Each painting measures 30cm square, utilising oil and acrylics on gesso panels. Every panel showcases a different technique or mark-making and is one-of-a-kind. When presented together in an 11ft square, the piece floods a room with colour.
